The first stop is Kathmandu Durbar Square, representative of Nepal’s rich architecture and craftsmanship dating back to the medieval period. Next, we will visit the sacred shrine of Pashupatinath, one of the most important religious sites for Hindus in Nepal. We will then explore the peaceful and magnificent Boudhanath Stupa, followed by the impressive Swoyambhunath (also known as the “Monkey Temple”), which offers breathtaking views over Kathmandu.
In the afternoon, we will have a pre-trek briefing about the upcoming journey. All questions will be addressed, and we will prepare our equipment and gear. Any missing items can be purchased at the Thamel market, well known for its variety of shops, restaurants, and entertainment.
Free time. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Breakfast. Today we begin with a transfer to the airport next to Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu for a domestic flight within Nepal. The flight to Lukla is scheduled for early in the morning.
During the flight, we will pass over valleys and gorges, enjoying stunning views of the Manaslu, Ganesh, Langtang, and Rolwaling ranges before landing at Tenzing-Hillary Airport. There we will be greeted by our guide, after which the luggage will be prepared for the trek. Following a short rest in Lukla, we will begin our trek to today’s destination – Phakding.
The trek starts along a trail that follows the Dudh Kosi River. The path is pleasant and passes through beautiful villages such as Cheplung and Thado Koshi Gaon, attractive mani walls, and colorful prayer flags. Along the way, we will often enjoy views of peaks such as Kongde, Kusum Kanguru, and Thamserku. In the evening, we will enjoy a delicious dinner and spend the night in a comfortable guesthouse in Phakding.
Diner. Overnight stay.

Breakfast. Afterward, we continue our journey. We will walk through pine forests, crossing small rivers over steel and suspension bridges along the way. Shortly after the village of Toktok, we will enjoy a wonderful view of Thamserku – an impressive mountain range rising to 6,623 meters, known for its distinctive twin-peaked shape.
The trail ahead ascends and descends alternately as we walk on different sides of the river, passing farms, Buddhist sacred structures symbolizing Buddha’s enlightenment, and more stone mani walls inscribed with Buddhist mantras and symbols. At Monjo, we will officially enter Sagarmatha National Park at the checkpoint. Sagarmatha is the Nepali name for Mount Everest, and the park was established in 1976 to protect the region’s unique nature and culture.
We then continue to Jorsale before crossing a suspension bridge that leads us into a pine forest. Shortly after, we prepare to cross the highest bridge in the area – the Hillary Bridge. From here, the trail rises steeply along a windy ridge path toward Namche. The bridge is named after Sir Edmund Hillary, the first man to summit Everest together with Sherpa Tenzing Norgay in 1953. Along the trail toward Namche, we will see our first glimpse of Everest – the highest peak on Earth at 8,848 meters.
Two hours later, we arrive in the Sherpa capital, Namche Bazaar – a lively trade hub of the region, located at 3,440 meters above sea level, famous for its colorful markets and unique Sherpa culture.
Free time. Diner. Overnight stay.

Breakfast. Today begins with a wonderful morning view. The peak of Khumbila will rise above Namche, while Kongde Ri dominates the western side of the village. Khumbila, at 5,761 meters, is a sacred mountain for the Sherpas, revered as the home of the region’s protective deity. We will spend the day exploring the town, hiking to a beautiful panoramic viewpoint, and later resting at our luxury hotel in Namche.
In the morning, we will head to the Everest Viewpoint (3,880 m). From here, we will enjoy a majestic panorama of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Taboche, Kusum Kanguru, Ama Dablam, and Thamserku. Everest is the highest mountain in the world (8,848 m), while Ama Dablam (6,812 m) is known as one of the most beautiful mountains in the Himalayas, with its distinctive diamond-shaped form.
We will return to our hotel for lunch and a short rest. The afternoon and evening are ideal for visiting the beautiful stupa with water-driven prayer wheels spinning at its base. A stupa is a Buddhist religious monument symbolizing Buddha’s enlightenment and serves as an important meditation site for the locals.
We will also visit the Namche Bazaar Monastery – a key spiritual center for the Sherpa community, where monks perform ancient Buddhist rituals and ceremonies. In addition, we will have the chance to explore Namche Bazaar’s modern bars, cafés, and restaurants, offering an intriguing blend of traditional Nepali and Western cuisine.
Free time. Diner. Overnight stay.
Breakfast. Today begins with a walk along a scenic trail. The path winds along the mountainside, passing white chortens (Buddhist sacred structures), while the horizon is lit up with radiant views of magnificent peaks – Mt. Ama Dablam, Lhotse Shar, and Taboche, among others. Mt. Ama Dablam, standing at 6,812 meters, is one of the most remarkable peaks in the Himalayas, famous for its distinctive diamond-like shape.
After several hours, we will arrive at Kenzoma. A little further ahead, we take the lower trail leading toward Phunke Tenga. Here we cross the Imja River before embarking on a steady two-hour ascent through a dense forest, eventually reaching Tengboche. The forests in this region are particularly beautiful in spring when they bloom in a variety of vibrant colors.
Continuing our trek, we arrive at Tengboche Monastery. Founded in 1916, it is the largest Buddhist monastery in the Khumbu region and an important spiritual center. In the afternoon, we will visit the monastery and have the chance to join the prayers. The Buddhist chants and rituals performed here are an essential part of the monks’ daily lives and offer a unique opportunity to experience local spiritual culture.
Free time. Diner. Overnight stay.
Breakfast. Afterward, we continue our journey. We begin by walking through a forested area filled with beautiful trees, which eventually leads us to the village of Pangboche. Here we encounter the Pangboche Monastery, one of the oldest in the Khumbu region, dating back to the 16th century. It preserves valuable Buddhist relics and offers a unique insight into the Sherpa spiritual traditions.
From Pangboche, we continue our ascent along the Imja River through pastures where yaks graze. Yaks are traditional Himalayan animals, well adapted to high altitudes, and play an important role in the local economy. The terrain gradually shifts into a dry and rocky landscape. After a little more than an hour of trekking, we reach Orsho. From here, we leave the main trail, cross the river, and climb the path that leads to Dingboche.
Dingboche is a Sherpa village located off the main route, offering magnificent views of Lhotse and other peaks. Lhotse, the world’s fourth-highest mountain at 8,516 meters, is directly connected to the Everest massif.
Free time. Diner. Overnight stay at the best hotel in the area.
Breakfast. Today is our second acclimatization and rest day. If we didn’t have the chance to explore the village yesterday, we will do so today. Having already reached an altitude of over 4,400 meters, the need for the body to adapt becomes increasingly important.
In the morning, we will take a hike to a panoramic viewpoint along the trail leading to Nankar Tshang peak, where we will enjoy magnificent views of Tabuche, Cholatse, Chhukung Ri, and Makalu. Makalu, at 8,485 meters, is the fifth-highest mountain in the world, renowned for its distinctive pyramid shape.
Afterward, we return to our hotel to rest and have lunch. In the afternoon, we may spend our time climbing other nearby ridges for more views or exploring the small market area, which includes a few shops, restaurants, and a bakery. Though modest, Dingboche’s market is interesting, offering local products and a glimpse into the daily life of the Sherpas at high altitude.
Free time. Diner. Overnight stay.
Breakfast. Today begins with a trek along a mountain trail, about two hours through Dusa before reaching Dughla.
We may stop for lunch in Dughla before slowly ascending a ridge where we will pass a series of memorials dedicated to adventurers who tragically lost their lives. These memorials are stone structures adorned with prayer flags, built in honor of climbers from various nations who perished while attempting to summit Everest and the surrounding peaks.
On the way to Lobuche, we will continue climbing for several more hours along the rocky moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. Upon reaching Lobuche, we may walk a bit farther east to enjoy a beautiful view of the Khumbu Glacier. The Khumbu Glacier is one of the largest in the region and an essential part of the route to Everest Base Camp, stretching about 17 kilometers in length.
Free time. Diner. Overnight stay.

Breakfast. Today begins very early – this is an important day. Aiming to reach Everest Base Camp by midday, we will set off in the morning. We start with a slow and steady walk along the trail that runs between the mountain and the moraine ridge of the Khumbu Glacier. After two to three hours of continuous trekking, we arrive at Gorak Shep, which once used to be a lakebed. The sandy basin of the village is a key stop on the way to Kala Patthar and offers fine views of Pumori, Lingtren, Khumbutse, and Changtse. Pumori, standing at 7,161 meters, is known as the “Daughter of Everest” in the Sherpa language.
We will check into our hotel and prepare for the hike to Base Camp. The trail itself is mostly moderate, but the high altitude and rugged terrain make it challenging. We will proceed at a slow and careful pace, crossing the Khumbu Glacier and walking among boulders with towering peaks around us.
Everest Base Camp will be reached in two to three hours. Along the way, we will see memorials dedicated to climbers who did not succeed. Sitting at an altitude of 5,364 meters, Everest Base Camp serves as the starting point for ascents of the world’s highest mountain.
It is difficult to imagine the area filled with expedition tents during the climbing season in April and May. A ridge just before the base camp reveals surreal views stretching from west to east of Pumori, Lingtren, Khumbutse, Changtse, Nuptse, Lhotse, and other peaks rising along the horizon. The Khumbu Icefall, lying between Nuptse and Lhotse, appears dramatic – one of the most dangerous obstacles on the Everest route, with its cascade of massive ice blocks and crevasses.
We will return to the warmth and comfort of our hotel in Gorak Shep.
Free time. Diner. Overnight stay in a luxury hotel beneath Everest.
Today we start at dawn to witness the golden view from Kala Patthar, when the first rays of the sun illuminate the Himalayan peaks. Although the cold is biting and the winds are strong, the skies are usually clear at this time of day.
The trail to this epic viewpoint takes about two hours, following a moderate path with gentle ascents and descents. Upon reaching the summit, we are rewarded with an expansive, unobstructed panorama of the mighty Himalayas. This is perhaps the best vantage point for Everest, Nuptse, and Lhotse. Other iconic peaks in this grand panorama include Pumori, Ama Dablam, Khantega, Thamserku, Taboche, and Cholatse. After reaching the highest point of our trek, we return to Gorak Shep for breakfast before beginning our descent.
After breakfast in Gorak Shep, we follow the trail back down through Lobuche and further on to Dughla. Just beyond Dughla, after crossing a stream, the trail splits, and we take the right-hand path descending to Pheriche. Pheriche is a small village at about 4,371 meters, well known as an acclimatization stop for climbers heading toward Everest.
Free time. Diner. Overnight stay.
Breakfast. Today we begin with a descent along the route. After Pheriche, we cross a bridge over the Khumbu River and continue downhill through Orsho, Somare, and eventually reach Pangboche. After spending several days in the stark gray and brown alpine landscape, the reappearing greenery along the trail feels refreshing and welcoming.
We will cross a small bridge and walk through forested areas before arriving in Tengboche. The descent then continues to Sanasa, from where we will enjoy an impressive view of Ama Dablam – one of the most beautiful peaks in the Himalayas, whose silhouette resembles a “Mother’s Necklace.” From here, we take the high trail leading us back to Namche Bazaar, where we can once again enjoy its comforts after the long days in the mountains.
Free time. Diner. Overnight stay.
Breakfast. Today we begin our descent along the trail leading back to Lukla. At first, we descend steeply to the Hillary Bridge – the iconic suspension bridge named after Sir Edmund Hillary, one of the first climbers to summit Everest. From there, we continue along a gentler and more pleasant path through Jorsale, crossing several suspension bridges and passing picturesque villages for the last time before reaching Lukla in the early afternoon.
With this, our adventure in the Everest region comes to an end. In the evening, we will have the chance to celebrate the successful completion of the trek, just as many travelers in the Khumbu region do.
Free time. Diner. Overnight stay.
Breakfast. Today begins with a flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, we will be transferred to the hotel, where we will have time to rest and freshen up.
In the evening, we will hold a final gathering to share our impressions and experiences from the trek. Afterwards, we will enjoy a farewell dinner in a cozy restaurant, with the chance to reflect on and discuss our exciting adventure.
