Day 2

Santiago de Chile

Santiago de Chile

Breakfast. Today our day will begin with a panoramic tour of the Chilean capital, Santiago, which will reveal to us both the historical and modern face of the city. Our first stop will be at the Presidential Palace La Moneda – a majestic neoclassical building constructed in the 18th century as a mint, and today the seat of the Chilean government. We will learn more about the dramatic events in Chile’s history, including the 1973 coup, which are closely connected to this place.

We will continue to Plaza de Armas, the heart of Santiago’s historic center. This lively square is surrounded by beautiful buildings such as the Central Post Office and the City Hall, where we will feel the pulse of the city and observe the daily life of the locals. Nearby, we will visit Santiago’s Cathedral – one of the most significant Christian temples in Chile, with an impressive façade and richly decorated interior blending baroque and neoclassical elements. It has been the spiritual center of the city for centuries.

Next, we will head to San Cristóbal Hill, located in the large Metropolitan Park, where we will ascend by funicular (round-trip tickets included). From the top, we will enjoy a magnificent view of the entire city, and on clear days, the snow-capped peaks of the Andes will be visible. At the summit, we will also see the statue of the Virgin Mary – a symbolic place for reflection and rest amid nature.

We will also visit the Central Market (Mercado Central) – an architectural gem from the 19th century, now one of the most colorful places in the city. The market is famous for its wide variety of fresh fish and seafood, and its atmosphere is a blend of traditions, flavors, and local character. We will have the chance to stroll among the stalls and experience authentic Chilean culinary culture.

The tour is conducted with a local English-speaking guide.

Free time. Overnight stay.

Day 3

Santiago de Chile - Valparaíso - Santiago de Chile

Santiago de Chile - Valparaíso - Santiago de Chile

Breakfast. Today our day will begin with an exploration of Valparaíso, the most important port city in central Chile. Naturally shaped like an amphitheater right on the Pacific Ocean, Valparaíso is famous for its colorful houses, some of which are daringly built on the city’s numerous hills.

Valparaíso is a city with a rich history dating back to the colonial era, renowned for its unique architecture and character. The city’s historic center was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2003 due to its cultural and architectural significance.

Together with our guide, we will start our tour along the lively streets of this port city and allow ourselves to be enchanted by its unique charm. Of course, we cannot miss a ride on one of Valparaíso’s emblematic funiculars. Some of these historic funiculars date back to the late 19th century and are not only a vital part of the city’s transport system but also important heritage landmarks connecting the lower city to the hillside neighborhoods.

In the afternoon, we will visit a winery in the Casablanca Valley. This valley is one of Chile’s leading wine regions, renowned for producing excellent white wines thanks to its cool maritime climate and ideal soils.

In the early evening, we will return to Santiago.

Free time. Overnight stay.

Day 4

Santiago de Chile - Punta Arenas

Santiago de Chile - Punta Arenas

Breakfast. Today our day will begin with free time and, depending on our departure schedule, we will be transferred to the airport for our flight to Punta Arenas.

Punta Arenas – the Gateway to Patagonia – is located on the Strait of Magellan and is the southernmost city on the Chilean mainland, serving as a key starting point for exploring Patagonia. With its rich maritime history, colorful houses, and windswept charm, the city offers a unique glimpse into life at the end of the world. The Strait of Magellan, discovered by Ferdinand Magellan in 1520 during the first circumnavigation of the globe, is a vital waterway connecting the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Over the centuries, it has served as a strategic route for sailors, traders, and explorers.

Originally founded as a penal colony in 1848, Punta Arenas quickly developed into an important port in the second half of the 19th century, fueled by the wool trade and the gold rush. Today, the city combines historic buildings from its era of prosperity with modern infrastructure.

The city is also a hub for excursions to penguin colonies, historical landmarks, and the vast Patagonian wilderness. Nearby Magdalena Island is home to one of the largest colonies of Magellanic penguins in the region—over 120,000 breeding pairs that return each year.

Free time. Overnight stay.

Day 5

Punta Arenas - Magdalena Island - Punta Arenas

Punta Arenas - Magdalena Island - Punta Arenas

Breakfast. Today our day will start early at 06:30 with a boat excursion to Magdalena Island, home to a large colony of Magellanic penguins.

Magdalena Island is located in the Strait of Magellan and was declared a Natural Monument in 1982. The island is home to over 120,000 Magellanic penguins that gather here during the breeding season, making it one of the most important penguin colonies in South America. Magellanic penguins are medium-sized and are recognizable by the distinctive black bands across their chests and the pink patches around their eyes. They spend the summer months (from September to March) along the coast for breeding, while in winter they migrate north by sea, sometimes reaching the shores of Brazil.

The excursion will end at 12:30, after which in the afternoon we will continue our journey by bus to Puerto Natales. Puerto Natales is a charming town that serves as the gateway to Torres del Paine National Park – a true highlight of any trip to Chile! Founded in 1911 as a port for wool exports, the town has grown in recent decades into a tourist hub with cozy cafés, restaurants, and hotels. Torres del Paine National Park is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, world-renowned for its dramatic mountain peaks, blue glaciers, crystal-clear lakes, and rich wildlife, including guanacos, pumas, and condors.

Free time. Overnight stay.

Day 6

Torres del Paine National Park

Torres del Paine National Park

Breakfast. Today our day will begin with an unforgettable journey filled with natural wonders and unique landscapes in the world-famous Torres del Paine National Park in Patagonia.

We will start with a visit to the Milodon Cave, where the remains of the prehistoric giant sloth were once discovered. The Milodon Cave is an impressive natural formation dating back thousands of years, representing an important archaeological site that reveals the rich prehistoric fauna of the region. It is idyllically set amidst the Patagonian steppe, offering not only historical insights but also excellent photography opportunities.

Next, our journey will continue through breathtaking landscapes, dotted with lakes, rivers, and majestic mountain ranges, towards the national park. Torres del Paine National Park is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, covering an area of 242,242 hectares and home to remarkable biodiversity, including guanacos, condors, and pumas.

The highlight of the day will be a visit to Grey Lake Shore (Orilla Grey). Grey Lake is famous for its icy blue waters and floating icebergs that calve from Grey Glacier. Here we will walk along the shoreline and, on clear days, enjoy views of the impressive icebergs and Grey Glacier in the distance.

In the afternoon, we will experience another natural wonder: Salto Grande, a spectacular waterfall that carries water from Lake Nordenskjöld to Lake Pehoé. Salto Grande is a powerful waterfall with turquoise waters, symbolizing the park’s incredible hydrological system and creating stunning rainbows on sunny days. Here we will take a short but impressive walk with breathtaking views of the characteristic rock formations of the Torres massif.

Throughout the tour, we will be accompanied by experienced guides providing fascinating information about the geology, wildlife, and history of the region.

Free time. Overnight stay.

- Full-day tour of Torres del Paine National Park (Milodon Cave + Grey Lake Shore + Salto Grande)
- Entrance to Torres del Paine National Park

Day 7

Grey Lake

Grey Lake

Breakfast. Today our day will begin with a shared transfer to Grey Lake. Grey Lake is one of the most impressive lakes in Patagonia, famous for its deep gray-turquoise color and the floating icebergs that break off from the glacier.

Upon arrival, we will board a comfortable, modern boat to sail towards Grey Glacier. It is part of the Southern Patagonian Ice Field and is one of the most iconic glaciers in Torres del Paine National Park, covering an area of approximately 270 square kilometers.

During our cruise, we will enjoy breathtaking views of radiant blue ice, icebergs floating in the turquoise-gray water, and feel the Patagonian wind on our faces. On the way to the glacier, we will also admire views of Paine Grande, an impressive peak standing at 3,050 meters, and the Paine Massif, whose distinctive granite towers are a symbol of Chilean Patagonia. We will see forests surrounding the lake, magma rock mountains, and snow-capped peaks reaching the clouds.

If we are lucky, we may also see and hear pieces of ice breaking off from the glacier and falling into the water – a spectacular display that demonstrates the dynamic nature of glaciers and the constant changes in Patagonia’s landscape.

Day 9

Santiago de Chile - Easter Island

Santiago de Chile - Easter Island

Breakfast. Today our day will begin with a flight from Santiago to Hanga Roa. Hanga Roa is the main and only town on Easter Island, offering a perfect starting point to explore all the sights and secrets of this mysterious island.

Our dream comes true: we will set foot on one of the most isolated and enigmatic islands on the planet! Welcome to Easter Island. Also known as Rapa Nui in the local language, Easter Island is one of the most remote inhabited islands in the world, located about 3,700 km from mainland Chile in the Pacific Ocean.

The island’s ancient culture, wild beaches, majestic volcanoes, and the diversity of its National Park have led UNESCO to grant Easter Island special protection as a World Cultural Heritage site. Rapa Nui National Park covers about 40% of the island and was established in 1935 to preserve its unique archaeological and natural heritage.

In particular, the colossal stone statues called Moai make this island, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, a truly magical place. The Moai are monumental megalithic statues created between 1250 and 1500 by the Polynesian Rapa Nui people, ranging in height from 3 to 10 meters and weighing up to 86 tons.

The price includes access to Rapa Nui National Park and the entrance fee for Easter Island National Park.

Free time. Overnight stay.

Day 10

Easter Island

Easter Island

Breakfast. Today our day will begin with the second day of our Easter Island excursion – approximately 7 hours and 30 minutes – with a private English-speaking guide.

Our first stop will be Hanga Te’e Bay, located on the southern coast of the island, where the unrestored Ahu called Vaihu stands. “Ahu” refers to the platforms on which the Moai stand. Ahu Vaihu is one of the best-preserved unrestored ceremonial complexes on the island, illustrating how time and natural forces have affected these ancient structures.

Next, we will encounter Rano Raraku Volcano. Rano Raraku is an extinct volcano whose crater contains a freshwater lake and rises about 150 meters high. Here we will discover one of the most important sites of Rapa Nui culture, as its crater contains the quarry from which the stones for the famous Moai were extracted. For the island’s inhabitants, this is a mystical place full of energy. Hundreds of statues were carved here, and several unfinished Moai still stand as sentinels around the volcano.

We will then visit various Moai on the island, including those at Ahu Tongariki (restored in 1995): 15 statues standing proudly and facing the island like guardians. Ahu Tongariki is the largest ceremonial complex on Easter Island and was restored after a tsunami in 1960 destroyed the platform.

The excursion continues with our penultimate stop: “the navel of the world,” Ahu Te Pito Kura. Ahu Te Pito Kura is home to the largest Moai ever raised on a platform, approximately 10 meters high and weighing around 80 tons.

Before returning to the hotel, we will enjoy a relaxing break under the palms at Anakena Beach. Very famous, the beach hosts two restored platforms: Ahu Nau Nau and Ahu Ature Huki. Anakena is one of the few sandy beaches on the island and, according to legend, is where the first Rapa Nui king, Hotu Matu’a, first set foot on land.

Our guide will provide a boxed lunch, which we will enjoy on the beach, and if we wish, we can take a swim in the Pacific Ocean!

Free time. Overnight stay.

Day 11

Easter Island

Easter Island

Breakfast. Today our day will begin with a journey to the majestic Rano Kau, an extinct volcano. Rano Kau is one of the three main volcanoes that formed Easter Island, with an impressive crater about 1.6 km in diameter and 200 meters deep, filled with fresh water and floating vegetation.

Along the way, we will enjoy breathtaking views of the entire island and its unique geological features. Our journey will reach its climax at a viewpoint overlooking the stunning crater lake.

Next, we will visit the ceremonial village of Orongo, the site of the famous Birdman competition. Orongo is a ceremonial settlement consisting of about 50 stone houses built on the edge of Rano Kau volcano. It was the center of the Birdman cult, which emerged after the decline of the Moai tradition. Here, we will admire impressive petroglyphs reflecting this ancient culture and enjoy panoramic views of the three islets—Motu Nui, Motu Iti, and Motu Kao Kao—lying just off the coast.

We will then descend to Ahu Vinapu, an unrestored site that shows the influence of pre-Incan architecture on Easter Island culture. Our final stop for the day will be Ana Kai Tangata, a cave decorated with ancient paintings. Ana Kai Tangata is a coastal cave, whose name translates as “the cave where people eat” or “the cave of cannibals,” and is known for its rare surviving examples of cave art depicting seabirds called Manutara.

After a day filled with exploration and wonder, we will return to our hotel.

Free time. Overnight stay.
