Enjoy a day of nature, adventure, and animal care with a family-friendly excursion to two unique attractions in the Rila Mountains. Visit Rila Fun Park — a forest adventure zone offering zip-lines and rope challenges — and explore the Bear Sanctuary in Belitsa, where rescued brown bears live peacefully in a natural habitat.

We will begin our journey in the morning by picking you up directly from your hotel in Sofia. With our private transportation, we will head south toward the foothills of the Rila Mountains, passing through beautiful valleys and pine forests.
Our first stop will be at Rila Fun Park, located near the town of Belitsa. This adventure park is set in the forest and features a series of elevated rope courses, climbing challenges, and zip-lines suitable for children and adults alike. After a short safety briefing, those who wish to participate will gear up and enjoy the treetop course at their own pace.
The park is designed to be both fun and educational, encouraging coordination, confidence, and teamwork in a beautiful natural setting. Visitors who prefer a more relaxed experience can enjoy the peaceful forest environment, scenic rest areas, or simply observe from below.
After our time in the adventure park, we will enjoy free time for lunch. Our guide will be happy to recommend a local restaurant or picnic area, depending on weather and preferences. This is also a great time to explore local souvenirs, snacks, or simply take in the fresh mountain air.
In the early afternoon, we will visit the Dancing Bears Park in Belitsa, officially called the Four Paws Bear Sanctuary. This peaceful wildlife reserve is home to over 20 rescued brown bears, most of whom were previously kept in captivity and forced to perform in circuses or on the streets.
The sanctuary spans over 120,000 square meters of forested hills, meadows, ponds, and caves — designed to closely resemble the bears’ natural habitat. Accompanied by our guide, we will walk along a designated educational trail, stopping at viewpoints to observe the bears in their new lives — climbing trees, bathing, playing, or simply resting in the sun.
During the visit, we’ll learn about the foundation’s work, bear behavior, and the ethical importance of wildlife conservation. The experience is emotional, inspiring, and deeply human.
At the end of the day, we will board our transfer and begin the return trip to Sofia back to your hotel, ending our day filled with nature, smiles, and unforgettable encounters.
